On today’s WTJX Radio NewsFeed: Silver Airways has ceased operations as of today, ending its services across several destinations in the Caribbean and regional routes in Florida; its subsidiary Seaborne Airline to continue operations. WAPA accuses the Public Services Commission of disregarding operational realities in its decision to reduce the LEAC. The Commission cited overcollection and a lack of accountability as justification for the reduction. The Division of Banking, Insurance & Financial Regulation office on St. Croix has moved to the second floor of the old Caribe Home Center Building from its former location on King Street in Christiansted.
